old now. We are having a great time spoiling him. Thought you
might like to see a pic. He is a good dog and a smart one as
well.

Hello Tracy, this is a
recent picture of Rebel. He is now in training to become a therapy
dog. He recently just passed his off leash training. I am a nurse
at a nursing home and decided to take him in there on my day
off. And he did wonderful. It's like he sensed how brittle the
people where. I take him there at least twice a week now. My
residents love him and he is able to let off some of his energy!

Tracy,
Thought you may like to
know that our girl Zetta (Dec 2011 litter - Lookaways Jack
and Coke & JAK Sojourner Mandy) is doing great, both at home
and in the fields. She listens well, learns fast and has plenty
of love to share.
We took her out in the
fall for her first hunt and she was a natural! She has great
nose, can see anything that moves, stays solid on her points
and finds downed birds fast. While she has all of the typical
GSP energy, its amazing to watch her slow down and really
focus as soon as we are in the fields. I couldn't have asked
for a better dog and friend.
Thanks Tracy, I hope your
family is doing great as well.
Happy new year!
Take care,
Clay & Jodi

Queen Zimbra Marie Williams
Tracey,
Not sure if you will remember
Zimbra (we picked her up in May of 2011). She is like one of
the family and my shadow. I could not ask for a better dog
She is great with the grandkids kids and house mate Zeke (the
cat). I worked her with chuckers over the summer and her
nose in incredible. We made our first hunt of the season on Saturday
after many puppy hunts last season and brought home our first
bird solo (attached). What a dog
I look forward to many
more! I even had another hunter ask if I bought her trained already.
She just has it her blood
Thanks
Bruce Williams

Dear Tracy and family,
I am writing to give you
an update on Dyson, the female pointer pup we brought home from
the July 14th litter.
We are so happy with Dyson
as a companion pet. She is loyal and affectionate - she greets
us enthusiasticly when we come home from work, is happy just
to be near us, and eager to please. When we brought her home
eight months ago we house broke her in just 5 days, never having
had a poop accident. Obedience training has taken longer than
I thought it would, but she is improving every day. She is still
wearing a training collar but we need to use it less and less.
Her enthusiasm and energy
bring much joy to our daily activities and outdoor adventures.
She has been pointing since the day we brought her home - even
though she's a house pet. As a young pup it was pointing moths
on latenight potty trips, and now she spends most of her time
in the house watching birds out the back windows. She stalks
robins on neighborhood walks, and points ducks when we go across
the street to the pond. We never had to teach her to fetch. She's
been fetching sticks and tennis balls since the day we brought
her home. She doesn't seem to know what tired is, which makes
her a wonderful exercise partner. We are so happy to have her.
Oh- and she is pretty!
I think she could be on the cover of a magazine, but maybe I
am biased. Attached is a picture of her at an apple farm this
past fall (about 16wks), and a picture from the first time we
took her trailing (about 8mo).
Sincerely,
Courtney, Matt, and Dyson

Tracy,
Just a note to say our
doug Scout was on fire as a 1 year old dog in SD this year she
held her own and had several points over "wild" pheasants.
No guided/farm hunts for us all on our own.
I could not have been happier
in her performance she worked hard and held steady despite some
warm weather. On top of all this she has made a great house pet
that my girls truly love and cherish.
I enjoy the fact that she has topped out at about 38lbs. which
is a nice change from my previous pointer that hit 70lbs.
Thought you might enjoy
hearing about one of your dogs.
Thanks,
Rick Bryan

Hey Tracy,
I recently received one
of your dogs as a gift from my parents, Donna and Vic. The dog
Chesa, named for the Chesapeake bay (her current swimminghole)
is doing great. Chesa is a great learner and has already mastered
the sit and fetch part. I have finally got the pictures off the
camera onto my computer. Currently Chesa is doing awesome playing
fetch with an orange bumper, once I get photos of that I will
send them to you. I have more photos, of her swimming and playing
fetch. Also, I ended up purchasing the SportDog Lucky Dog collar,
I didn't have a need for all the extras the Tritronics sport
basics came with, but the link did help me to gather up so info
on what is out in the market. I will keep you posted on further
developments.
Cheers,
Nick

is a very happy dog. If you ever have puppies that look like
him again, please let us know.

Hey Tracy,
Sorry it took so long to
give you an update on Lucky, she's great. Don't know where to
start, she's great. Very easy to house break and crate train
only took a couple weeks. She learns commands very quickly, she
comes when you call her in the field and she does great on a
lead. We have a bike/ running trail by our house and she usually
gets between 6 and 7 miles of running a day between me and Angie.
The people we pass on the trail can't believe how well mannered
she is even around other dogs. She's also does well retrieving
I work with her several times a week with dummies wrapped in
pheasant wings, she's been finding and pointing at pheasant wings
since she was about 10 weeks old, here in the next week or so
I'm going to introduce her to live pigeons.

Very happy with our pup that we purchased from Tracy at lookaway
kennels. She is only 10 weeks old but is looking great and seems
to be adjusting well. Can't wait until I can get her out in the
field next season!

I recently obtained a puppy from Lookaway Kennels and I am very
happy with my dog Dakota. He is 9 1/2 weeks old and I have had
him for 2 weeks. So far he has learned to sit, shake, stay, come,
and he is pointing a pheasant wing with the wing and string method.
He is 95% house and crate trained and has been going to public
hunting land for an hour at a time. At this time his range is
about 10 to 15 yards and comes when called. He seems to like
water and is in the begining stages of retrieving in the field
with a tennis ball. He has been very easy to socialize and learns
at a very fast pace. After his shots are complete we are going
to take him to more places to socialize. Besides having the desire
to please me and what appears to be very good hunting instints,
he loves to just lay beside you or lay on you for companionship.
I will be posting more infomation as he gets older and learns
more things. I would like to thank Lookaway Kennels for the opportunity
to get Dakota. Tracy was very helpful and gave up his time so
I could come out and see Dakota when I wanted.
 |
Tracy,
Thought we'd send you &
Sherri a quick update on Dakota. He weighs about 21 lbs now.
If you have pictures of his littermates, we'd love to see them.
We are very pleased with the Native dog food. He has the softest
coat, everyone says he feels like velvet. We'd like to know if
it is actually working in that it keeps his growth even. So far
we feel it is. In a few weeks we plan to take him to the Wolf
Run dog park after he has received his last series of shots.
He loves to go for rides which is great because we'll have a
long one come November when we go to South Dakota. He is a great
pup, we are very thankful for him.
Thanks again,
Mike & Shannon Treisch

Lookaway Kennels was very helpful in choosing our puppy. They
gave us frequent updates about him and let us visit whenever
we wanted. I would recommend this breeder to anyone looking for
a great GSP.

My husband had decided that he was finally ready for another
German Shorthair so I searched until I found Lookaway Kennels.
I was quite pleased with the owner's responses to my many questions.
I definitely will refer anyone looking for a quality puppy, to
Tracy. We love our little boy.
